HOYA MiyoSmart
A honeycomb of 400+ segments, developed with Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Overview
About HOYA MiyoSmart
HOYA MiyoSmart uses D.I.M.S. (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) Technology: a honeycomb pattern of over 400 tiny segments surrounding a clear central zone that corrects distance vision as normal, developed in partnership with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The segments create a myopic defocus signal in front of the retina, which clinical studies have linked to slower elongation of the eye — the underlying cause of progressing myopia — while the clear central zone keeps everyday vision sharp.
As with other myopia management lenses, it's fitted and monitored by our optometrist as part of an ongoing program — regular follow-up visits track how your child's prescription is responding over time.
